يركّز هذا التوجّه على مصادر التمويل التي يصعب تتبّعها، مثل العملات المشفّرة، والتي تُعتبر بابًا محتملاً للتدخلات الخارجية غير المرئية.
تؤكد السلطات أن هذه الإجراءات تأتي لمواكبة التطورات التكنولوجية والمالية، ولإغلاق الثغرات التي قد تُستغل في التأثير على الانتخابات.
